THE ROOK CULTURE AND EXPECTATIONS

The Rook is a boutique room with a big reputation. We consistently host talent that far exceeds what similarly sized venues can draw, including The Bellamy Brothers, Pat Green, Mark Chesnutt, Kevin Fowler, Wade Bowen, Stoney LaRue, Roger Creager, and Josh Weathers. We also bring in major comedy and specialty entertainment, including national touring comedians, one-night-only experiences like a master illusionist, and intimate fireside conversations with extraordinary guests, including a former Navy SEAL Team 6 member who served on the mission to capture or kill Osama bin Laden. Artists and performers are drawn here because the room sounds exceptional and the atmosphere supports the show. Protecting that atmosphere is part of what membership means.

The Rook also serves as a gathering place for community impact. Through the Burress Community Foundation, we host select events and experiences at The Rook that support the best local nonprofits, scholarships, schools and students and other initiatives. Many of these events include a donation component, and details are always provided in advance. We encourage members to participate when invited, whether by attending, bringing a guest, or showing support. These events are part of what makes The Rook more than a venue.

LIVE MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT EXPERIENCE

The Rook hosts a wide range of experiences. Some evenings are true listening room shows with no talking, most allow conversation below the music, and a small number are high-energy, dance-floor nights. We will inform attendees of the conversation edict. How do you decide what behavior is appropriate on a given night?*
