Two of Texas’ finest songwriters share the stage for an evening built around the stories behind the songs.
Isaac Hoskins returns to The Rook after a previous performance that left a lasting impression on our members. His songs are rooted in small-town life, hard work, and the American heartland, shaped by more than two decades of performing across some of Texas’ most respected listening rooms. His original music has also been featured in Yellowstone and Landman, and he made an on-screen appearance in Yellowstone alongside Lainey Wilson.
Joining him is Charlie Shafter, the most requested song-swap partner among the professional artists who have played The Rook. His latest album, SAFARI, released in January 2026, has earned praise for its cinematic storytelling and vivid songwriting, taking listeners from quiet highways to bustling city streets and everywhere in between. Long admired by fellow artists and fans alike, Charlie continues to inspire a new generation of Texas songwriters.
Together, they’ll trade songs, share the stories behind them, and give members a rare opportunity to experience two exceptional songwriters in the format they know best.
