Max & Heather Stalling

August 23, 2025  |  8 pm - 10 pm

Max Stalling is a card-carrying Texas music legend. For more than 25 years, he’s been a fixture in the Texas and Red Dirt scene with six studio albums, three live projects, and a star on the South Texas Music Walk of Fame. He left behind a career as an R&D scientist at Frito-Lay to chase the road, and he’s played just about every stage in Texas worth mentioning.

Heather Stalling is an award-winning fiddler and vocalist who has toured with acts like Cory Morrow, Johnny Lee, and The Old 97s. She formed her own band, blacktopGYPSY, wrote the songs, and toured relentlessly across the region. Her sound is rooted in Texas and shaped by years on the road.

Together, Max and Heather bring songs, stories, and harmony in a rare, intimate show built for listening. This one will be special.

As part of our commitment to making The Rook one of the most unforgettable live music venues in Texas, we’re offering members first access to one of our seven signature shows of 2025.

For the next 2 weeks, members may RSVP for up to two complimentary tickets per membership. If you’d like to purchase additional tickets, a link will be provided. After the two-week window, any remaining tickets will be released to members and the public.

This will be an incredible date night or a meaningful family experience. Well-behaved kids 12 and over are welcome.

This will be a listening room environment for this special, intimate show.
